FOOD VIGNETTES (PART 2)

Josefine Durazno informed me: "You'll get the exact same reaction at a bakery in Mt. Pleasant, WDC: 'What's in that croissant? Just cheese.' (Forgot to mention the ham.) Or in a Mexican restaurant in Reno: 'Of course the beans are vegetarian,' says the cook to the customers (They're cooked with lard, but that's not a meat.)."
